Clinical Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on posture, core stability, muscle balance, muscle control and flexibility. Pilates instructors design different exercise programs with or without the use of physical equipment e.g. reformer, trapeze table, etc. to achieve a training goal.

Clinical Pilates often refers to the use of Pilates by physiotherapists to treat variety of injures. The most common ones are back and neck pain, and stabilizing muscles weakness. It is essential to have an assessment by physiotherapist to assign the rehabilitation program for a patient to ensure the optimal benefit from the exercise whilst the least aggravation of symptoms.
